Dr. Clark Colon-Bowel Cleanse

First, to help with occasional constipation, we help balance the microbes in the bowels with Turmeric and Fennel. Balancing the flora in the bowels helps normal bowel movements.

Second, to help with occasional loose stools, we help lower the pH of the stomach with Beatine HCL and Citric Acid.  According to Dr. Clark, bowel movements are triggered by a high pH, it is therefore important to keep your stomach pH as low as possible, so you finish digesting your food before expelling it. Ten drops of hydrochloric acid (sold separately) also help to acidify the stomach. 

In addition to cleansing Dr. Clark recommends increased sanitation.  Balancing the bacteria in your gut, then continuing to eat bacteria–laden foods may allow the constipation, gas and bloating to return to your body.  To avoid this, she recommends you sanitize your foods and hands.  One of the most effective sanitation methods for your fresh fruits, vegetables, meat and fish, is Dr. Clark Lugol’s Iodine (sold separately).

Are other colon cleanses causing you to have diarrhea?
Unlike other colon cleanses we don’t mix cascara sagrada into the entire formula.  We pack it separately (included in the cleanse box), so you can use it only when you need it.  Please use only as directed.

Digestive Enzymes
Other products (sold separately) that help with digestion are of course Digestive Enzymes. But you don’t need to take the enzymes directly. Instead you can take Vitamin B2 and Magnesium to help stimulate pepsin (enzyme) formation. However never take B2 and Magnesium too close to mealtime, since they make your stomach more alkaline.

1. Color: Dark BM are healthier, not black. 
2. Length: Long BMs are an indicator of a healthy colon.  For example, a child can empty the entire descending colon. Vitality, however, decreases with age and we end up only emptying a little bit at a time.
3. Shape: Ideally an adult with a healthy colon should be able to empty the entire sigmoid colon and be able to see a “U” shaped bowel movement.
4. Frequency: Dr. Clark considers one BM per meal to be ideal,    which would result in 3 short BMs per day.  However she also states that even one longer BM a day is quite good.
5. Effort: A healthy BM is produced without strain.
6. Form: A healthy BM is perfectly formed, does not float and has a good consistency, not too hard, not too soft.   It leaves no trace on the toilet paper.

PURITY
Purity is important to us. Our vitamins, minerals, amino acids and herbs are monitored for purity according to Dr. Hulda Clark’s public protocols. This includes metal testing whenever appropriate.  We always metal test all capsules at the end stage of manufacturing.  We also metal test all bulk products.We go out of our way to avoid using fillers.  If we ever do it’s because the amount we want in a capsule is too small for our machine to handle, in which case we use rice flour as a filler.We do not manufacture tablets because they require extra ingredients that we don’t want in our products.  Tablets can also be hard to swallow, especially if they are not coded with additional chemicals.We do never use tablet binders, coatings, colors, flow agents and other excipients. For this reason, most of our supplements have only two ingredients: the supplement itself and the capsule.

POTENCY
Most manufacturers pack their products only once every year or two in order to reduce setup cost on production lines and reduce the purchase price of the raw material by buying a large quantity. We however get a fresh batch of products every 4 months that we immediately pack. This ensures higher potency of our supplements because of fresher raw materials and less exposure to oxygen. As you may know oxygen is the primary factor for loss of potency in powdered herbs, vitamins and tinctures.

In our experience, Black Walnut Hull that is GREEN has about double the amount of juglone, an essential ingredient in the tincture. Dr. Clark Purity Products guarantees unopened bottles of the Black Walnut Hull Tincture to stay green at least until Use By Date. After you open the bottle the tincture will start to turn brown and then black. When black, it contains about half as much Juglone. (Tests on File: Adpen Lab, FL 32224)
